They just do what they want

They just do what they want

Hamlet (fabian schramm) looks wistfully at the pale dead man’s pin in his hands. Then the famous sentence falls: "to be or not to be. That is the question." 8.91 seconds later, all the protagonists of the play are already dead. World record!
Only william shakespeare (eva ruther) complains angrily: "that went much too fast for me now!" What the old master of poetry demands is all the same. The realschul shakespeare company does what it wants this evening. "How we like it" is the title of the scene collage, which is freely based on the ideas of shakespeare.
The most important tragedies and comedies of the great author are dealt with at a gallop and also taken a little for a ride. Beautiful julia (darlene fabian) pines in flowery verse at her visibly bored romeo (johannes frank). In the end, the lovers must die, whether they want to or not. Shakespeare hands the poison cup to the unfortunate person to be on the safe side. King duncan (matthias wunderlich) also has no desire to be murdered by macbeth (jacob weib). But it has to be, because "it’s written in the stucco". Modernity has also long since found its way into the performance. Thus in "othello" rapped and the three witches of macbeth (magnificently played by julia zametzer, cassandra freund and tina murk) have long since reached the cell phone age. Dark fog and light effects did the rest. Fabian schramm, like most of his acting colleagues, was seen in a double role, playing not only the danish prince hamlet, but also the cunning jester prufstein from the comedy "as you like it".
It is an enjoyable homage to the world’s most famous playwright. And an emergency solution. Actually, the acting troupe of the forchheim secondary school, directed by rainer streng and maria bischoff, had planned to perform the comedy "wie es euch gefallt" (as you like it) to perform. But things turned out differently, because in the middle of the school year, the original main character changed schools. Half a year of work and rehearsals seemed to have been in vain. The motivation of the young people was therefore at first at the bottom, as strictly reported.
"We had three possibilities, he explains the situation at that time. "Either to cancel the performance, to make up for it the following year, or to put together a completely new piece of work." No one wanted to cancel, and the next year the actors from the graduating class were no longer there. In a democratic vote with the schoolchildren, it was finally decided to restage the play.
The actors rehearsed the texts and scenes in only three months. There was even a rehearsal weekend, during which the shakespeare troupe gave everything once again to ensure that nothing went wrong during the performance. The concept has worked. The committed ensemble was rewarded at the end with much applause from the audience.
