High up at the 10. Coburg bouldering cup

The 10. Open coburg boulder cup of the DAV coburg takes place on saturday at the climbing center. Bouldering competitions are entertaining and exciting, so they are very attractive for the spectators. All interested are invited to get an idea of this still young and currently trendy sport.

The finals start on saturday at 17.30 (ladies) and 18.30 o’clock (men) and promise spectacular sport with high voltage. Afterwards, there will be a pizza party for all participants and spectators. The entrance for spectators is free.

Preparations are in full swing. Almost 200 participants have already registered, the majority of whom are guests. Both the women’s and the men’s competitions have a top-class starting field. From the local heroine and top german climber sofie paulus to other women who have already been successful at german championships and a whole series of strong men, such as floyd simen from bayreuth and maxi zwicklbauer from munich – the runners-up from 2018 and 2019.

"Here comes together what used to be connected", says irmi funk. The bamberger specialist for monastery work enriched the special exhibition of the bamberger land farmer museum not only with filigree work, but also with an interesting lecture at the opening ceremony. "Cloister works, tinsel wreaths, hood mirrors – beautiful works for devotion and secular adornment" is the title of the exhibition, which was opened in the presence of numerous guests at the farmers museum. On the occasion of the foundation of the museum 30 years ago, another special exhibition will follow in june.

Monastic works are precious objects made of gold and silver wire, pearls and precious fabrics that were integrated into religious life as devotional objects, reliquary settings or jesus children. "Beautiful work" also the bridal crowns or tinsel wreaths that used to be worn on church festivals, which closes the circle.

Irmi funk knew not only about the design of her works and the symbolism hidden in them. She was also very interesting in conveying knowledge about religious needs, for example the different types of relics. Splendidly set with gold wire, pearls and precious fabrics, they were exhibited for veneration. Also pilgrim souvenirs and so-called relics of veneration had been decorated in this way.

Ezb survey: economic pessimism on the rise

According to the survey, the euro zone economy will shrink by 0.5 percent this year. Previously, experts had expected a minus of 0.3 points. Experts are also more pessimistic about the coming year than before: in 2013, they expect only a slight increase in economic output of 0.3 percent, compared with 0.6 percent previously. In the long term, however, growth is expected to remain unchanged at 1.8 percent.

Inflation in the region is forecast to be 2.5 percent in 2012. This is 0.2 percentage points more than before. In 2013, the inflation was allowed to decrease to 1.9 (previously 1.7) percent. In the long term, the experts see a rate of 2.0 percent.

The ECB itself also expects inflation to remain above its target of just under two percent for some time to come. However, it is expected to fall below this mark in the course of the coming year.
